MY BACKGROUND

Throughout my teaching experience, I have found that the most successful students have a solid understanding of how music works and the motivation to pursue self-directed learning. Therefore, my teaching philosophy focuses on building these skills so that my students can gain a deeper understanding of the music they play and continue lifelong autonomous learning. I offer patient and supportive lessons focused on learning to play the music you love while developing good habits, musical confidence and working toward your goals, however big or small they may be.

Personalised lesson plans are tailored to your skill level, interests, and goals. The first few lessons are a chance for us to get to know each other and put together a plan so that you can get the most out of your lessons. I can support students learning for fun, those working towards performances, auditions, playing in a band, or advancing their writing and improvisation skills.
